2020 Band Camp Announcement
Cougar Band Family,
I hope everyone is well and healthy. Normally at this time we would all be excited for band camp to begin, to begin our marching band season, make new friends, see old friends again and make new memories. With the current situation we can not do band camp as we have traditionally done it. That doesn’t mean that we can’t make new friends and new memories. We are going to start that process this week with a couple of evening rehearsals under the guidelines provided by the RCS.
We will have volunteer sectional rehearsals on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week from 6:00-7:30 pm and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next at the same time.
Wednesday the 5th will be all Woodwinds.
Thursday the 6th will be all Percussion.
Friday the 7th will be all Brass.
Monday the 10th will be all Woodwinds
Tuesday the 11th will be all Percussion
Wednesday the 12th will be all Brass
The rehearsals will be outdoors and we will not be able to go indoors.
Things you need:
MASKS, GLOVES, and/or other protective equipment
Instrument
Your own Water jug.
Sunscreen
As stated above, ALL Rehearsals ARE Voluntary.
(But we'd really like to get some work done so please come if you can)
Just Like Football, we will have several guidelines to follow:
.
- No extra people or spectators allowed
- Social distancing and sanitizing procedures will be maintained
- Bring your own water bottle
- Your temperature will be remotely taken
- Health questions will be asked when you arrive
- Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled rehearsal time.
- Leave campus Immediately following your rehearsal or maintain social distancing while waiting on your ride.
I know this is not the band camp experience we were all hoping for but this gives us an opportunity to create a new experience that hopefully will be as special.
You have no idea how much I miss making music with all of you.
Thanks
D
